An Evening Performance of Choices by Donald Drake
Choices by Donald Drake makes its theatrical debut in the Berkshires August 22, 2016 with a staged reading directed by Barbara Waldinger.
The evening-length drama – based on true events at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia – explores the moral and ethical dilemas faced by the observant Jewish parents of newly-born conjoined twins. The parents are guided by a rabbi, a surgeon and their faith in God as they move forward to make a life and death decision for their children. Could or should they chose one child to die so the other child might live?
The production is co-sponsored by by Temple Anshe Amunim and Congregation Knesset Israel with refreshments following the performance and discussion led by Rabbi Josh and Rabbi Weiner along with the playwright and cast.
