An Evening Performance of Choices by Donald Drake

Choices by Donald Drake makes its theatrical debut in the Berkshires August 22, 2016 with a staged reading directed by Barbara Waldinger. 

The evening-length drama – based on true events at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia – explores the moral and ethical dilemas faced by the observant Jewish parents of newly-born conjoined twins.  The parents are guided by a rabbi, a surgeon and their faith in God as they move forward to make a life and death decision for their children. Could or should they chose one child to die so the other child might live? 

The production is co-sponsored by by Temple Anshe Amunim and Congregation Knesset Israel with refreshments following the performance and discussion led by Rabbi Josh and Rabbi Weiner along with the playwright and cast.

Choices is presented at Congregation Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road, Pittsfield, MA  01201 on Monday, August 22nd at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20; students are free. For advance reservations, call (413) 445-4872, ext. 16. Tickets are also available at the door.
